- Tank Specs
- Tank was set up in December of 2002 and started with the livestock and macroalgae from Jordy's previous 2 year old 90 gallon reef tank.
- 300 gallon acrylic tank with a 75 gallon sump containing an algae refugium with Racemosa and Sea Grape macroalgae.
- A UV sterilizer and an ozone generator that pump into a Prizm Pro Skimmer.
- 4 powerheads that add current to the tank, in addition to a Supreme Magdrive 1200 return pump.
- Lighting
- 6 - 165 watt, 4 - 50/50, and 2 actinic VHO bulbs with icecap ballast.
- Cabinet
- DIY project Jordy constructed with 2x4's, 2x6's, and tongue and groove.
- Tank Inhabitants
- Fish: A Queen (Holacanthus ciliaris), Majestic/Bluegirdled (Pomacanthus navarchus), Blueface (that was exchanged for a Flagfin/Threespot (Apolemichthys trimaculatus) and Flame (Centropyge loriculus) Angelfish, 1 Niger Triggerfish (Odonus niger), 1 Yellow Tang (Zebrasoma flavescens), 1 pair of Maroon Clownfishes, 1 pair of Percula Clownfishes, 2 Foxface Rabbitfishes (Siganus sp.), 2 Anthias', and a Radiant Wrasse.
- Invertebrates: 12 Cleaner Shrimp, 1 Arrow Crab, 4 Red Serpent Stars, 1 Yellow Brittle Star, 1 large Bubble Tip Anemone, and 1 Long Tentacled Anemone.
- Corals: 1 large Finger Leather and several species of Mushrooms and Zoanthids.
- Other: The photos show a substantial growth of Racemosa and Sea Grape macroalgae in the tank, which the fish ate and therefore has disappeared, but a nice crop of red gracilaria macroalgae has now taken over, since the fish won't eat this type. Cultivating the green macroalgae in the sump refugium, Jordy can replace it in the tank at any time he decides to.
